Creative brief

The core objective was to create a digital web interface to integrate 17 disconnected facilities. As a surgical center owned by physicians they wanted a site that primarily focused on the accessibility of centers and physicians, and secondarily helped promote the advancing field of surgical robotics.

Discovery

After interviewing patients, physicians, and staff we prototyped low-fidelity interactive wire-frame which we used to conduct a series of moderated user tests to evaluate the success of our ‘search-first’ design hypothesis. We gradually increased the visual design fidelity through client feedback and user experience data until we were ready to build a CMS platform that could be simply managed and updated by technologically inexperienced physicians.

Physician finder

A core part of the design brief was to build a database of profiles, including many personalized physicians videos, and details of their surgical specialization. In order to build the profiles we conducted numerous interviews with surgeons, as well as with patients to gather testimonials.

Brand identity

The brand design process included a visual identity system that included a digital style-guide, typography, color ID, and supplementary print collateral.
